The BestDamnSportsForum.com banned me because they were scared I might win $1000 from their Survivor contest. The people who run this place are a bunch of f*cking clowns - just thought I'd share my little tale of woe, because I know some people here at The Rx are members there.
TheBestDamnSportsForum.com runs a Survivor contest. You can make 1 or 2 picks in a day, but you only have to pick once a week to keep your streak going. If you hit 10 in a row you the prize is $100, and if your dumb enough to press your luck and decide to go for 15 in a row, the prize is $500 (would be much smarter to press your $100 prize in a Sportsbook and get way better odds).
Anyways, a few days back one of the administrators named BestDamnCEO makes a post saying that if a poster can hit 10 in a row in April, he will give them $1000. He said it didn't matter if the streak started in March, so long as it ended in April he would reward the member with $1000. The members at the forum responded to his post in disbelief, including myself (I went by the handle "Tuff Turf" @ TheBestDamnSportsForum.com). I thought there was a good chance someone would hit it, maybe even I would be lucky enough to pull it off.
Then yesterday the $1000 prize post gets deleted, which looked pretty suspicious - it looked like the guy had thought the better of his offer. I PM'ed BestDamnCEO on why the post was deleted but got no response from him. In fact he erased my PM from my Outbox.
So as of yesterday I had a streak of 5 in a row going, today when I posted my 2 picks for the day, I added a note at the bottom of my post asking why the $1000 prize post had been deleted. I checked back about 2 hours later and the note in my post had been edited out! WTF!
My final effort to find out what was going on was to place a new post in the Survivor forum to find out what the f*ck was going on. I basically just asked nicely why the $1000 post had been deleted. So I checked back for answer a couple hours later and I had been banned from the forum! - LOL.
Through all of this I was riding a streak of 5 as of yesterday, so the only conclusion I can come to through all of this is that BestDamnCEO or the other administrators were worried that I'd hit the 10 in a row and win the $1000 prize. I honestly don't know what other conclusion I can come to. My Tuff Turf handle has been banned unfairly and I just thought I'd share my story.
